The TufCor+ Meter Pit is a dual wall (corrugated outer/smooth inner) pit manufactured from high density polyethylene resin. The polyethylene is highly inert, resists rust and corrosion and is not susceptible to low temperature brittleness like competitive materials. The corrugations provide an excellent strength to weight ratio. The inner wall is bonded to the corrugations providing rigidity and strength.
White pigments that contain UV light stabilizers protect the meter pit while being stored outside. These white pigments are used in TufCor+ Meter Pits up through 24" diameter. The pits are notched at the bottom to allow the fit over the water line.
